What You'll Do

As one of our Human Resources Advisors, you'll be a trusted partner to leaders across the organization, providing practical guidance, support, and solutions across all things people focused. Reporting to the Manager of Human Resources, you'll help foster a positive employee experience while ensuring compliance with collective agreements, policies, and employment legislation. In this role you will:

• Lead employee and labour relations activities, including workplace investigations, disciplinary and grievance processes, and advising managers on performance, attendance, conduct, and workplace issues.
• Provide expert guidance on collective agreement interpretation, organizational policies, employment legislation, and HR best practices while building positive relationships with union representatives and internal departments.
• Manage full-cycle recruitment, from job posting and candidate screening to interviews, offers, onboarding, and orientation, helping attract and welcome great talent to Brightisle.
• Support employee programs and HR operations, including leaves of absence administration, position control tracking, and maintaining accurate workforce information.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, helping strengthen HR processes, labour relations practices, and the overall employee experience.

Child and Youth Care Workers play an integral role in caring for and providing a safe and stable home environment for children and youth in residential care. As an influential role model, you build effective relationships with children and youth through a trauma informed lens.

What you'll bring? A Child and Youth Care certification or, degree and diploma is preferred. Experience working with children and youth from trauma or with various complex needs is considered an asset. A driver's license, Record of Conduct and Vulnerable Sector Check, First Aid Certificate, and Children, Seniors and Social Development (CSSD) Record Check is required.
